Flexibility exercises are an important part of any workout regimen and are necessary to warm up the body and loosen up the joints prior to regular exercise. Due to lack of exercise, many of our body's joints become stiff and gradually lose the ability to properly support muscles during periods of strenuous physical activity. Flexibility training is necessary to strengthen these joints and cause them to become more resilient. Not only is joint exercise important for people warming up for a workout, it is also useful for anybody who lives a sedentary lives and don't get as much physical activity as he or she probably should. Flex training can help alleviate many of the adverse side effects associated with stiff joints.
